The Story Behind Polar Night
Imagine a long winter evening in the far North. The sky has turned deep blue, the snow is fading into darkness, and the road outside is quiet.
Inside a house, someone places a lamp by the window.
It cannot brighten the entire street or shorten the night. Yet the light reaches the snow outside, showing a little of the path to someone walking past.
The person who left the lamp may never know who saw it. The passerby may never know who placed it there. For a moment, though, the darkness feels a little less complete.
Polar Night is inspired by this imagined act of quiet kindness. Lapis Lazuli, Orange Moonstone and Angelite bring together the dark blue of the night, a warm point of light and the softer color of a winter sky.
Sometimes the smallest light helps someone else find their way. Sometimes it helps us find our own.
